Stop with the insults, jokes, or anecdotes that belittle or demean an individual or a
group’s sexuality or gender.
Think of how it would look in print. Before telling a joke or story, imagine how it would look like if it was printed in a popular magazine. Would it be offensive because of gender, race, occupation, ethnicity or sexual orientation?
Put yourself in the other person’s shoes. If you were in another group (gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation), how might you feel?
